Description
Coremould Emulsion is supplied as a pale amber liquid which when diluted with water turns white to produce a chemical release agent, combining the outstanding release properties of such materials with the economy of a conventional oil. On the surface of the mould it forms a thin water repellent skin reacting with alkali in the concrete thereby enabling easy stripping from concrete.
It is used for easy stain free release of concrete moulds and formwork of all types. particularly, where wooden formwork is used de-moulding or stripping times exceeds 24 hours.
In the proportion of 1 litre to 5 litres water, dilute the product concentrate, stirring thoroughly until evenly mixed. It should be stirred again before use, if not used the same day and requires a very good stirring if used after 5 days.
Coverage is 80 sqm to 160 sqm depending upon the nature of the substrate if the concentrate is diluted exactly in the given chemical and water ratio viz., 1 : 4 to 1 : 5 by volume. The highest coverage rate must be aimed for.
Unsealed timber or plywood : 80 sqm to 160 sqm per 6 litres of solution
Steel or sealed plywood : 120 sqm to 160 sqm per 6 litres of solution.
